unintelligible-noise

This statement is both loud and nonsensical. I'm left distracted by the noise and feeling helpless by the nonsense.

The internet in 2026 is full of noise and confusion. Part of the reason seems to be that a combination of high drama and confusion is a good way of getting and keeping attention.

The noise of drama and emotion gets people to notice what you've said, but the senselessness of the statement is important too. Consider the following two phrases:

  • Teen beauty cruelly killed while minding her own business.
  • Teen beauty, while obsessively watches TikTok on her phone, walks onto a busy road and is struck by a car.

The first gets you hooked, the second version explains the situation so you're free to think about something else.

This concept is closely related to the idea of "click-bait".
